Stock mats are great for poolside or bathroom drying-off areas and make a great, bacteria resistant alternative to traditional cloth bath mats. Custom mats are for customers who want a mat built specifically to fit the inside of their shower, or any other space where they desire the comfort, warmth and beauty of teak. In order to make it easier to install, remove for maintenance, as well as reduce shipping costs, we build these as interlocking mats.  Basically it's two or more pieces built to lock together like puzzle pieces on the underside of the mat. After installation the mat looks like it's one full mat.
